HDPE or LDPE Geomembrane Liners or Pipe Weld Testing

Linings for tailings dams, leach pads, evaporation pods, brine ponds, contaminated tailings dams, containment bunds, process water dams all need welded liners.

Strip welding is necessary to join the 6m wide sheets together to make an impervious barrier and ITS have been testing these welds since 1990.

ITS receive weld samples from site and immediately wash, dry and condition the coupons.

After the coupons are prepared they're cut into strips, each one is meticulously identified and then tested for peel and shear with the Examo Tensiometer.

We aim for near immediate results and for samples received in the morning we normally get the report out by close of business.

This includes fibrescopes, digital video equipment, fully featured ultrasonic flaw detectors, thickness gauges, phased array ultrasonics, IRIS ultrasonics, remote field, near field, eddy current, magnetic particle equipment and Selenium, Iridium, and X-Ray radiographic imaging.
